Planning Procedures 8. It is depressing to see throughout the Core Strategy document the assumption that present planning procedures will continue. The Regional Spatial Strategy has been revoked (Para 1.19). Yet it is used throughout the document as if it is still an important authority. No mention occurs of the exciting range of consultation papers emerging from the Department for Communities and Local Government. Such fundamental ideas as the Right to Build achieve no mention. Figure 2: Site allocations should be informed by your Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA). We would therefore expect the SFRA to be mentioned in this figure under "Other South Somerset District Council Strategies and document". There is no reference in Figure 2 to Somerset's Waste Plan. This should be referenced.

It is suggested that the AONB Management Plans should be acknowledged within this section/diagram as they are a statutory requirement of the local planning authority and a material consideration decision in the planning process.
