We attended the South Somerset DC Masterplanning Event on 1.09.14 and left notes/comments on individual tables after speaking to the appropriate person. We showed concern about whether it is safe yet even for testing for anthrax; great concern about overspill water flowing down to Up Mudford because we could become marooned like the inhabitants of Mulcheney; we said the development site should contain a surgery as existing GP's are overstretched; the football pitch should be full-size and there

Policy YV2 - I support the inclusion of additional text to this policy, stressing the need for landscape mitigation. However, I would suggest simplifying the wording of the policy to read; 'landscape mitigation, to address (i) potential massing impacts across the site's northward face, and (ii) potential visual intrusion at the site's edge and skyline.' This policy should then be amplified by supporting text.

I have examined your changes and find them unacceptable. Firstly with reference to the Inspectors comment of July. Item 1 MM9 Policy YV2. I have reviewed the above in relationship to the inspectors comments of July & your further changes. With regard to the first Inspector comment MM9 Policy YV2 - the inspector said there needs to be more detail re the mitigation measures at the North East YeovilSUE . You have singularly failed to mitigate the blot on the landscape this development will make. The slope is such that the buildings are still prominent in the landscape when viewed from the North( approaching Yeovil from the Somerset L

Having attended the presentation of the latest plans for the above we would like to make the following comment - your representative was aware of the badger population on the edge of the upper field of the Up Mudford site but he didn't seem aware of the badger sett in the bank on the side of our property. We have had Natural England here to install subterranean fencing to lessen the damage to our gardens. According to them there is a 30 strong sett here with a possible 13 entrances. We were tol

Thank you for consulting North Dorset District Council on further Main Modifications to the South Somerset Local Plan. As you know we have had an ongoing dialogue during the plan preparation process to ensure that there has been the necessary co-operation on relevant issues.   In November 2013 we produced our Duty to Co-operate Statement alongside our Pre-submission Local Plan Part 1. Section 5 of that document set out a discussion of the potential impacts of policies elsewhere on North Dorset
