Comment: The information in paragraph 2.22 is incorrect as it details average house prices for Somerset rather than South Somerset. The Monitoring Report used as the reference shows for South Somerset detached houses at £364,199 and Flats at £115,723.

Our only note of caution in respect of the spatial strategy and development distribution is the reference within para. 2.25 to delivery in market towns and rural settlements being strong. housing growth clearly needs to be directed towards where it is most sustainable, but also where delivery can be more readily assured. This would seem to point towards a greater emphasis on Market Towns and rural settlements. We appreciate that the distribution has been changed slightly with less emphasis on Ye
