Strategic/Non-strategic allocations
6.2 Paragraph 21 and Footnote 13 of the NPPF require that strategic and non-strategic policies are clearly distinguished from one another. This is achieved in the LPR by the colouring of policies. However, it is entirely unclear why some policies are identified as strategic and others are non-strategic. For example, Policy YV5 allocates 25 dwellings at Yeovil and is considered non-strategic, but Policies YV7 and YV8 which allocate 12 and 20 dwellings at Yeovi

It would be useful if relevant strategic allocation and place-making policies were cross referenced with Neighbourhood Plan policies to ensure that all relevant requirements are considered in terms of proposed allocations. Cross referencing will facilitate ease of use of the Plan for the applicant and officers.

Paragraphs 3.6, 3.7 and 8.4ff
The Parish does not support to the designation of large building sites as 'strategic' in the Local Plan Review. We are in the penultimate phase of producing a Neighbourhood Plan and the reasons why we cannot support this are:
* It undermines the philosophy of NPPF (paragraph 21) and related Neighbourhood Planning PPG ( Paragraph 001 of Neighbourhood Planning PPG sates '(Neighbourhoods).. are able to choose where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built,
