POLICY HW1 –PROVISION OF OPEN SPACE, OUTDOOR PLAYING SPACE, SPORTS, CULTURAL AND COMMUNITY FACILITIES IN NEW DEVELOPMENT We welcome the inclusion of these facilities in new developments, as they can make a significant contribution to wellbeing and the prevention of ill health. Their importance for children is implied, but could be made explicit.
