Policy HG18 details considerations for workers housing within rural development land and requires this meet a number of tests. I note that the list does not include consideration of the potential land use conflicts that might arise if a new residential amenity expectation is granted in a location effected by an established nearby land use that gives rise to, or is expected to give rise to, environmental impacts. Policy HG8 is supported, with particular reference to criteria g., however we would suggest adding a reference to design, e.g. 'The design, siting and landscaping of the new dwelling...' as all three elements are factors in minimising impact.
