This paragraph has not been written by anyone with any current knowledge of Wincanton and needs revision as it is inconsistent with the Draft Wincanton Town Centre Strategy document and represents out of date (2017) thinking. (i) There are no banks in Wincanton and haven't been for nearly 2years (para 7.105 is also in error). This has been a major loss of footfall and likely to have significantly exacerbated loss of comparison retail small shops in the town centre. This isn't addressed anywhere
