Re: Ansford & Castle Cary Preferred Options We attended the consultation at the Market House, Castle Cary yesterday. Planning permission has already been granted for 559 (or more) dwellings on various sites in Ansford and Castle Cary and building has been underway on these for many months. An application for 81 houses on the BMI site is also being considered and we understand that outline planning permission has been passed for a school and a further 165 houses on the site AC4. We would like to express our deep concern about the new proposals for new house development. We hope the council (South Somerset) contest the new proposals with government and let common sense prevail. There are not enough jobs or new business developments to justify the claim that the council will support the increase of over 9000 jobs.
