The centre of Bruton boasts a range of shops, businesses and pubs/restaurants all of which are well-visited by local people and tourists. There are also three boarding schools in the town which bring family members, visitors and prospective school applicants to the town. Bruton also has several popular wedding venues as well as the art gallery Hauser and Wirth and the newly opened nearby visitor attraction The Newt, all of which draw people in from all over the UK and the rest of the world.
