The 2006-2028 Local Plan Table 2, Settlement Hierarchy and Scale of Housing Growth still has Ilchester down for 140 houses. It is assumed that this number satisfies planning policies, in particular, Policy SD1 Sustainable Development, Policy SS1 Settlement Strategy, Policy SS6 Infrastructure Delivery and Policy TA5 Transport Impact.

The new development north of Dragonfly Chase has Outline approval for 150 houses, and whilst the Parish Council understand that there is an implied '140 minimum', we strongly argue that planning approval has been granted in breach of the spirit of these Policies, and therefore it is inconceivable that any further housing should be considered.
