Mr Camerons' comment no 145 is right. The numbers are entirely arbitrary, but the Local Plan must show some numbers so that future planning decisions can be made taking due consideration of some defined employment environment, and this is only right and proper. The annoying thing about Policy SS3 is not the numbers as such, but the waste of effort spent debating it and producing spurious, arrogant and incorrect justifications. Better to have indicated arbitrary targets for each area as a guide f

I object on the grounds that the figures indicate that the council has not thought through any of the employment requirements.   Instead they are simply submitting figures that may help justify their cause.
