Modified Policy YV2 - Proposed Up Mudford/Primrose Lane Development
With further reference to our letter of 19'h December 2013.
At our Parish Council Meeting our original concerns over this development were further discussed due to recent developments. The recent floods have caused chaos locally with impassable roads and flooded properties causing misery to many. This is apart from the huge problems of the Somerset Levels.
The Councillors feel that a development of this s

I OBJECT to the proposed development at East Coker being built on Top Grade Farmland.
INFASTRUCTURE
No thought has gone into this only to satisfy the Developer.
Transport another possibly 1000 cars on the roads whish will not cope, +Thorne Lane and near Houndstone
West Coker Rd is already a nightmare now. It is the Main Road from Dorchester, the ports at Poole and Portsmouth, out to the A303 and on to Taunton and the Motorway.
Hendford Hill will be a worse nightmare

LATE REPRESENTATION
I object to the following in the proposed main modifications:
2. Grade 1 Agricultural Land
The site proposed for development within the Parish of East Coker consists primarily of Grade 1 Agricultural Land, which once built on will be lost to agriculture forever.
3. Environmental impact
The proposals will increase light pollution which would have a detrimental effect on our dark skies.
There will be an increase in traffic volume, which will generate more n

LATE REPRESENTATION
I would like to register my objections to the proposed housing development at Primrose Lane on the following grounds:
1. This number of houses would strain the existing infrastructure of Yeovil, which is already at its limit of capacity as regards hospital, schools, emergency services, etc. particularly as Brimsmore Village is under development, and Wyndham Park is nearing completion.
2. Mudford is at present a village with a rural character. This development would join

We object to the Following in the local plan
The infrastructure
The infrastructure of Yeovil only just and just copes with the existing population, even now if there is incident traffic grinds to a halt, we hope there is never a major problem as we dread to think what chaos would result from that. How will the through routes cope with the massive increase in traffic volume especially the A30 West Coker Road /Hendford hill /Bunford as these are the only possible routes, un

LATE REPRESENTATION
I OBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING IN THE LOCAL PLAN, RESULTING FROM THE YEOVIL URBAN EXTENSION
1. I object on the grounds of the impact on the current road network.
The proposed development, south of the steep southern escarpment including Hendford Hill and Forest Hill will discourage both walking and cycling to the centre of Yeovil, the hospital and the College whilst increasing the traffic volume. Provision of buses whilst welcome is unlikely to reduce traffic flow significantl

LATE REPRESENTATION
1. I object to the proposed Local Plan Modifications and suggest that this two large site option - North of Mudford (approx 750) Keyford (approx800) is not as preferable as a multi-site, 'necklace' approach.
2. A necklace approach has a chance of being more aesthetic, could use local vernacular stone and form a more subtle and appropriate blending into any adjoining countryside or nearby villages. It would not have the feel of a conglomeration or 'estate'.

The Parish Council would like to register their opposition to the proposed modification of the Local Plan pertaining ti the Keyford site to the west of the village, citing the folowing

Objection - Against proposed new building in Mudford
We wish to object to this proposal
Following the recent Planning meeting held at Mudford village hall to discuss the proposed building on land from primrose lane down into the village of Mudford we would like to express my concerns as residents.
We have lived on Main Street in the village for 12 years and love the small community and the country side around us which is an area of natural beauty and any thoughts of bui
