Do you consider the DPD is Legally Compliant? No
Do you consider the DPD is Sound? No
If you have responded that the DPD is unsound, Do you consider the DPD is unsound because it is:
  • Not Justified

The Consultation process has not been transparent or effective .The "rules "seem to have changed after the initial consultation . It was not clear on the bus that a different option was now the favoured one. the Town Council changing their mind at the last minute for whatever reason does not constitute open consulation . The reasons for altering the original plan seem vague and without foundation .Ilminster does not need a relief road ,I understand an independant report has indicated that . There is a perfectly suitable Brown field site (Horlicks) sitting empty and currently an eyesore for people entering Ilminster . Surely developing this site is the more sensible and practical option . The site is big enough to have both residential and light industry . To consider ruining a beautiful and environmentally precious site such as Shudrick valley seems to me to run in the face of commonsense and logic. The suggestion in the plan that the new site would enable people to walk and collect their shopping is I feel  a little naive on the part of the Planners .

What changes do you suggest to make the DPD legally compliant or sound? To revert back to the original plan which was development to the South West .this would make the DPD sound and allow proper development of this historic market town.
