Comment | We suggest a large percentage of the required increase in numbers is likely to be met by infilling of identified sites within the built-up area, over a period of years. Initial development should take up the land designated in the Strategic Housing Land Allocation document, the former County Council Farm fields, which we assume to be included in the required five-year supply This will leave a number of other dwellings to be located gradually over the plan period on small sites within the Parish. As far as possible, the nuclear nature of the earlier town should influence the choice of sites, the first of which is the most Sustainable option, using the lowest quality farmland. |
