Community Infrastructure Levy - Draft Charging Schedule

South Somerset District Council is consulting on the next stage of preparing a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Please read and review the documents set out below.

The Draft Charging Schedule document sets out the proposed levy amounts that the Council expects to charge for new development in South Somerset. The accompanying Appendices show where each of the charging zones will be across the district.

The Draft Charging Schedule is supported by evidence on development viability, with documents produced in January 2012, May 2013 and July 2015.

The Council has also prepared supporting evidence on infrastructure planning and delivery in the district. The Infrastructure Delivery Plan is set out in three parts. Part 1 provides a spatial summary of key issues in each of the settlements in South Somerset. Part 2 provides detailed analysis of infrastructure, by type, across the district. The Infrastructure Schedule sets out known projects where infrastructure is programmed to be delivered in South Somerset.

When making a comment you should indicate if you want to appear and be heard at the Examination of the Charging Schedule. Please also state the reasons why you wish to appear and be heard.

Respondents should also state if they want to be notified that the Charging Schedule has been submitted to the Examiner, when the recommendations of the Examiner have been published, and when the Charging Schedule is approved by the Council.
