Paragraph 4.52:
1) RPS broadly supports the approach to development outside of Yeovil. The Sustainability Appraisal demonstrates that the approach of "balanced growth" will ensure a sustainable outcome across the entirety of the District.

We encourage options that reduce the need to travel. The Council's sustainability appraisal of the three options identifies options 2 and 3 to be the preferable outcomes for development outside of Yeovil. The majority of development outside of Yeovil is proposed at the Market Towns, and we would strongly support growth at those Market Towns with existing railway links such as Crewkerne.
