As 145 dwellings are already committed, no further dwellings will be provided. 1 ha employment will be delivered through Development Management process. New development in flood risk areas must be avoided on accordance with Policy EQ1. The document mentions the land either side of the Hele Lane is in the functional floodplain. However, it does not mention anything about risk of surface water flooding which seems to be an issue for the town.

I am encouraged by the comment that the relationship of roads to total residences to vehicular/pedestrian usage is acknowledged. As the disproportionate number of over 65 yr old residents is also considered, it would benefit such customers and local shops enormously if the home delivery service included in the 2006 Parish Plan could be implemented. In the same plan, 77% of respondents said that it is important that a health centre is maintained in the village centre. Neither consideration has

Paragraph 7.59 quotes 145 dwellings. The housing quota is sufficient for the size of the village and its infrastructure (schools, doctors etc)

We are supportive of the core strategy as outlined in the presentation at the Blake Hall. The measures to support local business and commerce were particularly noteworthy. The consultation was appreciated; it needed a discussion to bring out the full value and intent of the policies. This was feasible because there weren't many people present at the time. Perhaps consideration should be given to a more formal presentation in future - this would allow involvement of more people and a broader rang
