Yeovil Country Park is already in existence and must not be considered as biodiversity enhancement as part of the Eco-town development. The Eco-town should deliver its own biodiversity enhancements for residents to enjoy on their doorstep.

If you are creating so much additional employment land and schools etc why the need for the extension to be near the town centre. The best environmental solution would be for all of the people living in the extension to work / school within the extension. If this were the aim then the extension could surely be located anywhere ie away from existing towns and villages.

ECO TOWN STANDARDS ARE ADMIRABLE BUT I WOULD EXPECT THAT ANY NEW DEVELOPMENTS SHOULD ACHIEVE THE SAME BUILDING STANDARDS, HOWEVER WHEN IT COMES TO TRANSPORT THE AIM TO ACHIEVE ZERO CO2 EMMISSIONS MUST TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE POLLUTION INCREASE IN CAUSED BY THE LACK OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE. THE EFFECT OF INCREASED TRAFFIC IS BRUSHED ASIDE BY EXPECTING LOW EMMISSION PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO TAKE OVER. BUT UNTIL WE HAVE FREELY AVAILABLE EFFICIENT ELECTRIC CARS THIS WILL NOT BE ACHIEVED. THERE WILL B
