Misterton Parish Council want to ensure that their ultimate aim of a Bypass is carried forward to the Core Strategy. The Parish Council hopes that at some future date a relief road will be constructed to join up with the North Perrott Road picking up Rose Lane and linking up with CLR development.

With regard to the Market Towns allocations, I particularly object to the favoured option for Ilminster which proposes extending housing development towards Herne Hill beauty sport. The option to the eastern side of the town, nearer to the Tesco Store and the town centre, would be more likely to encourage people to walk to the shops rather than drive and add to the existing traffic problems and extra distance to be driven to get around the town that have arisen since Ditton Street was made one w

The vision and proposals for Crewkerne are discussed within Paragraphs 6.72 - 6.85 of the Draft Core Strategy. The vision for the Town and the recognition that additional development will assist in the improved sustainability of the settlement is welcomed. The identification of broad local support for the CLR Site contained within Paragraph 6.79 of the Core Strategy and derived from The Community Plan for Crewkerne and District (2005/6) is welcomed. This community support for the scheme is incr

Economic Prosperity/Parking Standards/Local Aspirations Crewkerne Town Council believes that there is a definite link between Economic Prosperity and adequate town centre parking. The SSDC Car Parking Strategy 2006 states that there will be a significant deficit in its parking stock in 2012 and beyond in Crewkerne. After extensive analysis of potential long stay parking sites, there is only one agreed suitable area of land for additional long stay parking which is located adjacent to the Henhay

Crewkerne (Paragraphs 6.72 to 6.85) In relation to Crewkerne, we feel the housing numbers shown in the Draft Core Strategy should be raised by 200 dwellings.

Response to "what is a market Town"? Well I understand that term to mean that we actually so have a real regular weekly market. Fine to have farmers markets and the French markets where roads are closed and areas such as Falkland Square opened up to the farmers market but what about the market stallholders who have virtually disappeared since Waitrose has been built? I would like to see a real effort put into providing a good site for these stallholders. To call Crewkerne a "market town" at pres

After 1.2.11 there will be a shortage of long stay parking within the town centre! Why has the "core shopping area shrunk"? ie 17-31 Market street and ALL Market Square; 1 Church Street and 2-10 Church St, 1-9 East St. PLEASE UPDATE MAPS BEFORE REPRINT

The CLR plans do not represent a cohesive or complementary solution. The CLR will still attract traffic to the town centre to reach the westward A30. The CLR will make it easier for traffic to go via Misterton. There is no long term strategic solution for Misterton's problems of traffic congestion. It is clear to all that traffic from NW Somerset to South Dorset is increasing. No strategy for this - another relief road is needed.

All roads in the town are inadequate for even the current levels of traffic. Any further development will bneed significantly improved road access which is simply not possible unless you knock the town down and start again. The only sensible traffic control measure is to do what we do when the street fair is here i.e. one way westbound for Market Street and clockwise rotation around the town hall for eastbound traffic. Any vehicle which cannot accomplish this must be banned from entering the to

I believe the CLR proposed route will be a great beneficial to the town. However, I am not convinced it will have any effect on traffic flow. I believe that the building of road obstacles would achieve this. I also think that better route planning via "one way streets" would improve the roads further.
