The MOD supports the statements in paras 7.14 to 7.18 in connection with RNASYeovilton.

"Further, the MOD would point out that, when the Council considers new noise contours for RNAS Yeovilton it recognises that the airfield has a fast jet runway and MOD can give no guarantee as to the type, number and frequency of aircraft movements now or in the future. As military operational airfields continue to reduce nationally the remaining airfields could see intensification of use and new aircraft.Within this context, it is for the Council to determine impacts of noise from RNAS Yeovilton in terms of planning and development in the locality around the Establishment and the need for noise reduction design criteria as appropriate."
