LATE REPRESENTATION I wish to object to the following in the above Local Plan. Loss of our Heritage. This is the setting and landscape immortalized by T S Eliot and where William Dampier grew up. I object most heartily to any development which is likely to impact on this environment and this heritage. East Coker is a beautiful setting, with night skies, bright stars and a peaceful, tranquil village. It should not be spoilt in any way at all.

LATE REPRESENTATION I write with strong objection to the proposals within the submission Local Plan for South Somerset for development of an 'urban extension' within the civil parish of East Coker. I am gravely concerned that the very significant heritage assets in the area of East Coker, their setting ad the appreciation of them will be irreparably and detrimentally harmed by the proposals. The whole landscape of East Coker is a unique asset of great national and international heritage import

LATE REPRESENTATION I object to the following in the local plan, resulting from the Yeovil urban extension, on the following issues. Road Network The location of the development will encourage car usage as the only way to Yeivil will be Hendford Hill or Forest Hill, only the fittest will be able to cycle up these hills. I suggest that perhaps the councillors making these important decisions, actually use these routes at peak times to see how they get totally congested at peak times. The road

LATE REPRESENTATION The reasons for my objection is due to the following reasons: 1. The land planned to be built on is important Grade A agricultural land and as such will be a great waste of this very useful land for local businesses to use for crop growing etc as this type of land is only reducing in availability as time goes on. Many new businesses have started up recently in this line of work as the locals now seek out more than ever to eat locally produced items and also to support the l

LATE REPRESENTATION We support the recommendations of the South Somerset Local Plan. The southern urban extension seems more sensible in that the proposed development relates well to the town centre of Yeovil with good proximity to Yeovil Junction Station and with proposed new walking and cycling routes. The proposed development also relates well to the existing housing and road network. We think that the Chithorne Domer site is too remote and would be difficult to integrate with the rest of

LATE REPRESENTATION I feel extremely saddened and very angry that the site for development within East Coker Parish could even be considered for 'Urban Extension', as almost the entire area is Grade 1 Agricultural Land. As you are no doubt aware, this is the highest quality and most versatile farming land! Who would even consider destroying such a valuable site, to slap millions of tonnes of concrete on such a precious area destroying it forever would be completely criminal in my view. We are a

LATE REPRESENTATION I object to the following in the above Local Plan. There has been no proper evaluation of brown field site and this development will be a blot on our beautiful countryside and take up good first grade farming land also will cause traffic congestion in the village of East Coker and in the whole area. Our hospital and local medical facilities are already stretched to the limit and this will just add to the problem of the elderly trying to get medical treatment. Any possibil

LATE REPRESENTATION I still believe the proposed development in south Yeovil between the villages of Barwick and East Coker to be an unsuitable development both in its scale and location for a number of reasons. 1. Population The population of Yeovil has already increased dramatically over the last 30 to 40 years with recent large building developments taking place on the Abbey Manor Estate, Lufton and Houndstone estates, Lyde Road and the Wyndham Estate. The Thorne Lane/Brimsmore Development

SOUTH SOMERSET LOCAL PLAN 2006 — 2028 (Urban Extension). WE OBJECT to the above Local Plan on the grounds that the following issues have been inadequately addressed or with considerations leading to unsound conclusions:- TRANSPORT. WE OBJECT TO THE FOUNDATIONS ON WHICH TRANSPORT CONSIDERATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE: The Atkins report shows that when the surveys were undertaken 50% to 70% of all traffic in peak hours passed straight through Yeovil and loading the main arteries East West A30, No
